I thought I'd move over to a new thread so that our discussion dosnt get confused with any others.
The idea:
The system of Regelis has had a quiet history. Because of its position it holds only slight strategic importance. The main advantage of the system is its popularity amongst the trade routes. The Planet Regelis III (of 6 planets in the system only the 3rd is inhabited to great extent) contains several major cities, the capital possessing a large space port able to handle the large amount of trade that passes through. Other planets of note are Regelis VI that possesses a research and listening post and Regelis I which is harvested for its gases.
The governor of the system resides, obviously, in the capital. The governor has been commended for his administration of the system and the effective and quick removal of rouge elements seeking to subvert Imperial rule of the system, e.g. pirates, and groups seeking rebellion or worse. Though there have in the past been certain accusations levelled at the governor these have been promptly cleared. Particular incidents of note include a judge of the Adeptus Arbites who was found at a heretical meeting and during an attempted arrest was killed.
Also in the Arctic region of the planet several runis have been found below the surface. Instantly reasechers have decended upon it to discover its secrets.
Basic plot: people may have been sent for different reasons:
Rumours of a rebel group or leader on the planet – elimination or recruitment possibilities
Investigating the structure and rumours concerning the governing
Investigating the ruins.
If anyone else has an idea for being there post it up and we’ll all take a look.
So the governor is corrupt influencing both legal and illegal activity. He makes a profit through legal trade and through piracy and other corrupt activities. After the discovery of the ruins he has taken a great intrest, recruitng varius archeologists. Also he has secured the site with members of the PDF for 'security'.
Also there are underground movments seeking to subvery Imperial Authroity - run and funded by the governor.
During the rp some or all of this will be investigated (along with what we fabricte along the way).
Here is a list (and by no means complete) of charatcers that would fit into the setting of the rp.
Human:
Puritain Inquisitor
Radical Inquisitor
Adeptus Arbites (police force)
Rouge Trader
Fanatic/Cultist (usually in the company of a priest or Inquisitor)
Bounty Hunter (if you can make a reason for being there)
Ecclesiarchy (priesthood)
Assassin (either working for the imperium or perhaps serving some evil goal and killing off a puritain Inquisitor sticking his nose into where it dosnt belong)
Imperial Guard Vertern (usually accompanying an Inquisitor)
Alien:
Eldar Ranger (personal quest/doing what Eldar do info on eldar www.specialist-games.com/assets/EladrInq.pdf
Tau (Pathfinder scout if you can think up a good idea for being there)
If anyone is interested in the rp post here and we'll get char profiles written up then start (if we get enough interest). Also if you have any ideas you want to put forwards give it a go.
